When it comes to be that time of year again, when everybody is busily preparing for the Christmas season, finding those last minute gifts, how rare is it that we take the time to stop. Slow our busy lives and live for the people around us. As I’ve grown from the eager little kid, shredding paper packages and wrapping to a teen with expensive toys and more restraint to a college student now, I’ve come to the realization that in life that the Christmas tragedy is not someone that has no one to love them but someone who has no one to love.
So this Christmas, don’t gauge the quality of it by the amount of gifts you receive or the number of presents and cards under your tree, but by the number of people who’s lives have been bettered through your actions. Enjoy the time you have on this earth, life is to short for anything else.
