If I have done a shoot with you and you wish to download, purchase, or print photos, please visit: http://photos.paulrohde.com.
As a photographer, I’m driven to observe and notice thing in the everyday world around me that are so often missed by others. I take photos of whatever interests me: people, places, architecture, landscapes, maybe a piece of trash on the ground; if something about it catches my attention there’s a good possibility I will stop to explore that quirk or nuance in whatever it was I saw. People are by far my most enjoyed subject; people in all their quirks, actions, and expressions. There is a dynamic aspect to people that you can’t find anywhere else and a human connection that others identify with. No matter how many times you take a photo of that new chair, it’s never going to compare to the fluidity of a human being. It’s these traits that are the challenges of a dynamic and ever changing subject matter, and it is these traits that I seek to explore and present in my photography.
Here you’ll find archives and galleries of some of my best work in addition to the many photos that end up on my blog, this represents my best, most recent work and shoots, feel free to enjoy!
